4th of July Frangelico Chocolate Cake Recipe

We shared fun things to do this weekend for the 4th of July, one of which is baking. This yummy Frangelico chocolate cake is for adults only and will be a fun yummy twist to your 4th of July. Ingredients won’t only fund your Shopping Annuity, but create a savory chocolate cake!

Frangelico Chocolate Cake

1 cup hazelnuts, chopped
1 (520 g) package chocolate cake mix (do not add other ingredients on the box)
1 (92 g) package instant chocolate pudding mix $0.49 Cashback & 3.67 IBV
4 eggs
1⁄2 cup cold water
1⁄2 cup cooking oil
1⁄2 cup Frangelico

1⁄2 cup butter
1⁄4 cup water
1 cup sugar $0.47 Cashback & 3.52 IBV
1⁄2 cup Frangelico



Preheat oven to 325F. Grease a 10 inch pan and sprinkle nuts over bottom. Stir together all ingredients to make cake mix. Add pudding mix, eggs, water, oil and Frangelico.

Pour batter over nuts. Bake at 325F in oven for 1 hour.

Cool 10 minutes in pan.

Melt butter in a medium saucepan. Stir in water and sugar. Boil 5 minutes, while stirring constantly.Remove from heat.

Stir in rum. Brush glaze evenly over top and sides of cake, allowing the cake to absorb the glaze. Repeat until glaze is all used up.
