What is one mistake you made while building your business, and what is your advice to others who want to avoid making the same mistake?
One mistake I made while building my business was wasting time working with the wrong people. Everyone’s timing is different, but If you don’t want the success of your business to rely on other people’s timing, then go through the funnel and find someone who is ready to build the business NOW. I love the ‘stable and waiting’ entrepreneurs, but build with the go now’s! If you have a crystal clear goal and a burning desire, then people can sense that you are going places, and people will want to follow you.
Can you think of a challenge or fear in your personal life that you were able to overcome by being an UnFranchise owner?
Personally I have grown so much from what I’ve learned from our GMTSS training system. I used to have a fear of networking and talking to strangers, but by being an UnFranchise Owner, I learned how to challenge myself every day and get over my fear. I believe that anyone can learn a new skill through training. Now, I love networking and getting to know different people. My comfort zone has expanded and that made everything in life so much easier
What is one thing that the majority of UnFranchise Owners don’t do every day but should?
Add names to their names list and build relationships everywhere! Putting yourself out there can be really challenging, but it is what helps us build our business the most. This business is built on relationships, and quantity leads to quality. Master how to talk in theme and really care about listening to people’s needs, then you will realize there are so many possibilities out there. We have the gift in our hand
How do you add a personal touch to your business?
I always send a thank you email to my customers and let them know that my goal as a Shop Consultant is to help them have the best shopping experience. I also mail or personally deliver a product catalogue to them with my business card on the back. This helps educate customers and also leads to more customer referrals when they share a catalogue with their friends and family. It is all about building relationships!
Can you give us a few of your best recruiting tips?
Be direct and sincere. I like to talk to everyone, but prospect only quality people. You have to have a recruiting posture. I like to ask leading questions, collect their information and really care as a friend for what they tell me and the situation they’re going through. Have a good answer to the question, “What do you do?” When someone asks you what an UnFranchise Business is or what a SHOP.COM Shop Consultant does, the best answer is, “I teach people how to get paid to shop.”
Other than having time or financial freedom, what is your favourite thing about being an UnFranchise Owner?
Other than having time and financial freedom, my favourite thing about being a UnFranchise Owner is the ability to provide solutions to everyone. Whether they need to improve their health or wealth or both, I can help them. Our products are really changing people’s lives, one at a time. By helping more people, we help ourselves.
What was your “aha!” moment?
My “aha!” moment was when I realised it’s all about duplication and empowering others. If something is not duplicable, do not do it. That’s why our team follows the UFO system and implements home events. The purpose of home events is very simple: to generate customers, identify quality prospects, and sell tickets to the next major event. Then we plug people into the GMTSS system right away, and help them plug their people into the system. Our goal is to teach others how to teach others to teach. It’s all about creating income earners and leaders.
How influential have events like World Conference and International Convention been on your continued success?
Bringing people to the major events is how we can set people up for success. People are only willing to take action when Market America gets into their heart. Belief cannot be borrowed; it has to be seen with their own eyes. International Convention completely changed my perspective and mindset. I realised that if Market America can change my life, it is also a gift that I can use to change other people’s lives. The amount of people you bring to a major event determines your momentum and business growth for the next 3-6 months. We build from event to event because we believe, “One ticket, one person’s dream, and one future team!”
