Create a Vision Board of Your Dreams

It all starts with a dream! As JR Ridinger said at MAIC 2018, “you have to have a dream for a dream to come true.” Have you ever sat down and written your dreams on paper? Putting your dreams into writing means they start to come to life, become more than a dream and start to become a plan. Let’s take it one step further in 2019 and create a vision board. Continue reading to find out the importance of creating a vision board and how to get started.

Generally, a vision or dream board is filled with images of what you envision in your future. Your dream board could include photos, magazine clippings, drawings, etc that portray elements of your ideal future. Maybe your dream future includes a new house, a specific type of car, a designer bag you’ve had your eye on, dream vacation, specific accomplishments, etc. Close your eyes and think of your short term and long term dreams. How will your dreams materialize on your dream board?

Seeing is believing, which is why JR encourages UnFranchise® Owners to create a vision board. By seeing your hopes and visions physically, the idea is that you can will these aspirations into existence. At MAIC 2018 JR & Loren Ridinger shared their dream board that they created together. Even as the successful CEO and Senior Executive Vice President of a global company, JR and Loren know the importance of dreaming. They created their dream board to help keep their dreams in focus and serve as goals that they can plan for.

There is no goal that is too big or small for your dream board. If you can believe it, you can achieve it! It’s time to get busy creating your own dream board. For a whole guide to creating your vision board, check out this step-by-step from WikiHow.

Don’t forget to bring your dream boards to MAWC 2019! We want to see what you have planned for 2019!
