After a great morning session, Vice President Andrew Weissman and Executive Vice President Dennis Franks were looking to build off of the momentum. Right away, it was all about recognizing success as the following groups were asked to stand: Shopping Annuity Master Members, Master UnFranchise Owners, New UFOs, Coordinators, Executive Coordinators, Master Coordinators, and Senior Master Coordinator
For their accomplishments since International Convention, all of the new members to the following groups were invited to the stage to take a picture with Andrew Weissman and Dennis Franks: Professional Coordinators, Supervising Coordinators, National Supervising Coordinator, and Executive Supervising Coordinator, and the prestigious Million Dollar Club.
Stay In Your Prime – Scottie Pippen and Andrew Weissman
Vice President Andrew Weissman made his way back on stage and this time, he brought a friend. It was none other than 6-time NBA Champion and NBA Hall of Famer, Scottie Pippen. Scottie played in the NBA for 17 years and said he probably had more surgeries than years played. Up next was a fan favorite! Actress & entrepreneur and New York Time best-selling author, La La Anthony, talked about how to be powerful with Motives. La La shared that she credits her young-home life in Brooklyn in every way, “Eliminate the phrase ‘I can’t’ from your vocabulary. My success began in my own mind. I always believed in myself first even when no one else did.”
La La discussed retailing and expanding distribution in order to succeed in your business. It all starts with professionalism. You have to create a culture and set the tone in your appointment or business meeting. Make the person feel special and make the presentation about THEM. Every presentation should be personalized and customized to your audience.
La La also gave the keys to retailing. “Benefits sell and features tell.” Obtain knowledge about your product and build relationships in order to sell your products into the sale of multiple products by recommending products that compliment each other. After you close a sale, offer incentives and book a follow-up appointment in order to maintain a positive relationship with your consumer.
“We have the greatest products on the market. Why the heck do we need to be desperate? What we need is to be confident!”
Inspired by You, It’s Your Time to Shine with Motives – Lisa Martin, Brandy Holden, and Maria Checa
Continuing with the Motives theme, Creative Consultant for Motives Maria Checa, came out on stage and shared her beliefs about beauty. Maria believes that everyone is beautiful and makeup only gives you the extra confidence that you need to succeed in whatever you do in life. This Motives campaign is called ‘Inspired By You’ and it’s all about the Motives Custom Blend Foundation. The inspiration behind this idea was to give UFOs the chance to customize their blends, which will lead to more retail profit and commission.
Maria said, “We’re not just selling makeup. We’re selling the benefits that makeup brings.”
Maria invited Motives Director of Sales and Training Brandy Holden and Director Lisa Martin to the stage to preach the Motives brand and how it’s truly for everybody. Everything is about duplication and it’s all about catching the vision for Motives in 2017. Some of the challenges and campaigns that Motives is promoting the next quarter are 30 Faces in 30 Days and “Party with Me, $100 for Free.” This campaign rewards new members with $100 worth of Motives products if they go to this Motives event.
An important thing about Motives is the power for events. New events such as “It’s Your Time to Shine” events are important in building relationships because this builds results. Brandy smiled and said, “When people love you, they will love Motives.”
“I Am Motives” Contest winners were then invited to the stage to share their success stories and tips for how to build their Motives business. These ladies succeeded in establishing emotional connections with people in order to build their team.
Brandy and Lisa also invited “It’s Your Time To Shine” Campaign winners that were able to blend and duplicate their beauty events. These wonderful women shared their successful testimonials about how these Motives events have strengthened their business and increased their retail profits.
Brandy closed with, “Everyone is going to buy makeup. Why wouldn’t you cash in on it? Shine on!”
Combining the Old and the New, MPCP = Basic 5, MPCP² = Shopping Annuity, and the Uberization of the Shopping Annuity – JR Ridinger
The song “Rock You Like A Hurricane” was playing and after the entrance from the Chairman and CEO, a hurricane of energy swept through this arena. JR Ridinger brought the house down with his energy.
JR opened by thanking the crowd for sticking with him for 25 years in this business. JR still can’t believe he made it all these years because of the tough beginning years. Today’s talk is all business as JR wants to focus on understanding the business and the Shopping Annuity. “If you understand it, you will be motivated more than anything I’ve ever done.”
The MCPC and The Basic 5 should be automatic and be done first. If you don’t have those right, then you can’t build your business. JR says that if daily result producing activities are done for 15 hours per week, you will become a Master UnFranchise owner. MPCP2 and MPCP3 only work if you are doing the basic 5.
JR said “Many UFOs are confused or have a misconception: They think in terms of the Old way vs. the New way or the Basic 5 and minimum requirements vs the Shopping Annuity. It is about combining the old Basic 5 and the new Shopping Annuity! When you put them together, you have magic!”
JR discussed the differences between being a UFO and a Shopping Annuity Master Member. Simply put, a SA Master Member followed the Basic 5 better than the regular UFO. The results speak for themselves. Master Members measure reality. Everyone should strive to become a Master Member. “You carry the business in your head. Your business is determined by what you DO! If you don’t go into the business and work on it, then you really don’t have a business.” Just because you were accepted into college doesn’t mean you graduate. The same can be said about your business. It takes work and following the system.
JR talked about the beginnings of the business and how he created it for the “average person.” The fortune in this business is all in duplication. JR really stressed the fact that everyone needs to become Master Members because then you truly have a business. Convert your spendings into earnings and change your life. JR’s mission is for UFOs to make billions in this business and change the way people shop in order to change their economic destiny.
“The same thing that puts you at $50k or $100k or $1 million is your thinking. It takes the same amount of time. It’s just a different level of thinking. Keep Growing! I believe in you!” After 25 years, the business all comes down to the Market America Entrepreneurial Opportunity model “coin.” One side is the Market America Business and the other side is the Shopping Annuity. Heads you win, tails you win.

In a digital world, things can change overnight because of an exponential explosion. The perfect example: companies like Uber. Using digital aggregation, Uber is growing at a rate of 40% per quarter. JR hopes that the Shopping Annuity will take off like Uber because of the similarities in its entrepreneurial method.
No matter what, JR reminded the audience that you still need to do the MPCP and The Basic 5 combined with the Shopping Annuity in order to build your business faster. The Shopping Annuity should be fun for the whole family.

Director Don Martin came out to talk about how he started in this business. Don was able to replace his 80-hour-a-week construction business with his UnFranchise business. Due to the financial crash of 2007-2008, Don ran into debt. When Don met his eventual wife Lisa and had a child, he wanted Lisa to set a goal for him as to where they wanted to get married. After working hard for over a year, Don was able to pay for his whole family to go to the [out of the country] wedding because of his hard work in the business.
Don also preached JR’s message about the UnFranchise business and the Shopping Annuity. “We create the demand now. We can reap the rewards and become successful. It’s up to you!” You can convert your spendings into earnings. Don urges UFOs in the crowd to make the next challenge and MAIC 2017.

Up next to the stage is Brandi Murphy, the Director of nutraMetrix® Training. Brandi explains the background of nutraMetrix and how nutraMetrix gets health and nutrition products into doctor’s offices across the country. “If you are not approaching health professionals with our health products, you are missing out on a huge opportunity.”
In order to sell nutraMetrix to professionals, you need to get trained in order to become a nutraMetrix consultant. Brandi invited Dr. Tamara Weinstein and Dr. Edward Flores onto stage to dive deeper. Dr. Weinstein has been working with nutraMetrix in her physical therapy practice for awhile now because of the amazing results from her patients via nutraMetrix products. Dr. Flores works in the ICU and encourages his health professionals to prescribe nutraMetrix to their patients. Dr. Flores investigated the benefits of nutraMetrix products and he came away with one conclusion: they work.
Brandi stated that UFOs need to go out and spread the news of nutraMetrix by going to nutraMetrix Training sessions so they can learn how to use these products in their professions. Brandi stressed that through their websites, social media channels, and official nutraMetrix YouTube page, you can learn about the wonders of nutraMetrix. Executive Vice President Dennis Franks and and Director of Field Development and Sales for TLS® Susan Pasqual, urged the crowd to get up and get on their feet because it’s the last presentation of the day.
