In a stunning entrance, President and COO of Market America Worldwide Marc Ashley brought the house down during his entrance. “You could not be in a better place. I’m going to show you more and give you more than I have ever given before. I’m going to put money back into your pocket. It changes today!”
The first topic brought up was the Internet and how it continues to change and shape society. Because of the Internet age, stores continue to close and go fully online. “Why spend money going to these stores when you can just purchase things on your own time whenever you want?” There is a better way to shop and that’s on SHOP.COM. The motto is “From shopping in a store to shopping on your floor.”
Marc is the BV and IBV Santa Claus. Marc teased the fact that he is going to give away more BV and IBV today than ever before. Some new partner stores that were added were CVS and Sling. Marc talked about multiple partner stores from SHOP.COM and how you can single, double, and triple dip your Cashback, BV, and IBV. Marc gave an example of how you can plan for a wedding solely on SHOP.COM with SHOP Travel, Motives, and bridal partner stores. SHOP Travel is getting a makeover, with a new site look and new hotel page.
Across the board, Marc reassured UFOs that they are raising Cashback and IBV levels from many stores. If you don’t want items shipped to your house, you can use the simply pickup option from certain stores and pick up your item in the store. Marc touched on how the OneCart stores continue to grow and grow consistently.
A new feature on SHOP.COM is the Warranty protection. If you buy a warranty, you will get instant Cashback and IBV. There is now a SHOP.COM Home Warranty program with plans that will cover major appliances and electronics. Also coming soon is a program to earn IBV on your utility bills.
Bye being in the OneCart, we go direct with suppliers in the SHOP.COM Marketplace. “You wont find a better Marketplace than SHOP.COM. You put money back into your pocket every time.” Marc introduced the brand new SHOP.COM Direct Essentials program. It includes 1000s of Home Essential Products from all the top brands in single and bulk options.
Here is a game changer. What’s better than IBV? BV. Thousands of everyday essential products such as toilet paper, trash bags, tissues, dog food, pasta, razors, and more will have BV values. It will be 35-55% more BV. You will also begin to see more Market America | SHOP.COM exclusive products such as wipes and soap.
Senior Executive Vice President Loren Ridinger joined Marc onstage to talk about Havenly, an online and interior decorating service. “The average person spends about $4,000 – $4,5000 a room, which is ridiculous!” With Havenly, you take a picture of the room you want designed, measure the height and width of the walls. Within 72 hours, you get three brand new designs of the room. You can adjust the room yourself and you get 30 days to talk with the designer.
The average cost to design a room is $4200 a room. With Havenly, your cost is $79 – $199 per room. Loren said, “If you use $199 to redesign a room yourself, that will cost you mistakes.” With the future creation of Style.SHOP.COM, you can buy your home furniture from SHOP.COM by simply putting your Havenly design into Style.SHOP.COM. As always, you will receive Cashback and IBV on your stores.
Marc then got into SHOP.COM’s eGift Card Center, where you can receive up to 8% Cashback and up to &7% IBV. In the eGift Card Center, there is no expiration date and no money cap. The new SHOP Buddy will show all the deals and amount of Cashback available. Plus, SHOP Buddy will automatically apply the coupons and give you updated prices as you shop.
SHOP Local was the next big topic of choice. New stores and merchants such as Buffalo Wild Wings and Applebee’s continue to get added as we speak. There are now over 12,000 local merchants nationwide.
Cofounder and CEO of Empyr Jon Carder to talk about his love for entrepreneurial ship. “Entrepreneurs have the best life and the best life comes from freedom.” SHOP Local is bridging the gap for online to offline purchases. 93% of commerce is still spent offline. Most UFOs don’t know that Ad Blocker can prevent you from earning Cashback. SHOP.COM will detect that and still allow you to earn your Cashback. You can also track every single order through mobile alerts.
Executive Director Front-End/Interactive Mobile Development Kevin Curley joined Steve and Marc on stage to introduce the SHOP.COM Assistant powered by Alexa. You can now order from the convenience from your couch by using Alexa. SHOP.COM Assistant allows you to shop, get account information, and get facts about MA and SHOP.COM.
Belief – JR Ridinger
Founder, Chairman and CEO of Market America JR Ridinger hit the stage to give a breakdown of 25 years of Market America. “I am an UnFranchise Owner, first and foremost.” JR was enamored by digital aggregation and figured out his why. JR also realized that marketing plans in the early 90s were archaic. JR wanted an open system where every benefits because “teamwork makes the dreamwork.”
Here are some important questions that JR was asking when no one else was. Why does there have to be levels that are paid on? Why does there have to be levels in the genealogy? Why does there need to be a structured based on width for profitability? Why can’t this be established vertically? Why can’t a distributors be paid 4.2 times the same amount of volume instead of one?
These solutions inspired MArket America. “Why was this never done before? Because no one else would do it. Why was this never done before? Because no one else cared.” JR’s plan was an idea whose time had come. Don’t let anyone tell you that you’re too young because JR started this company with young kids and teenagers.
Throughout 25 years, it’s always been the same vision. JR’s why became their why and o on and so forth. JR urged the crowd to believe in him because he believe in them. All of this came from nothing but an idea, a belief, and beautiful people that bought into it. Despite things changing, the mission and the vision have not.
JR inivited the following people on stage to talk about the beginnings of Market America. Everyone shared a personal story that might turn some people away from the business. They didn’t have a lot to work with. However, they had one common thing: they believed in this business.
Vice President Andrew Weissman discussed how times have changed now with the Internet. All the forms are now submitted online and how you can fund your Shopping Annuity with the push of a button.
Vice President of Sales Jim Winkler preached about the tracking system. You go to sleep and wake up and you can find out just about everything about your business.
Special Projects Consultant Kevin Buckman restated the fact that the company did not have a lot of things back in the day. That being said, everything was born out of a challenge. The MPCP drives everything in this company. Convert your spending into earning and great things can happen. “We are made by our beliefs. Do you believe in Market America and the Shopping Annuity? Look we’re you’re at with what started was a few people with a handful of belief. Do you believe?”
International Field Chairman Elizabeth Weber talked about the beginnings of the company and how Market America has grown over the years. It used to be paper applications and she used to have to FedEx in her orders.
Executive Field Vice Presidents Tony and Pam Bowling talked about how they didn’t even use a computer in the beginning. Tony commends Joe Bolyard for helping him to transition into the online age. Pam discussed how far the back office has come along especially the tracking system.
Executive Field Vice President Julie Scholl discussed how before cell phones, she had to communicate with people on her home phone. This would lead to deadline issues and vouchers redemption were next to impossible. Now, this can all be done on your computer or mobile device.
Executive Vice President Dennis Franks talked about his first interaction with JR. JR wrote the plan for him down on a yellow legal pad and it was his one on one. It was JR’s passion and energy that sold Dennis on Market America.
Senior Executive Field Vice Presidents Frank and Gingie Keefer told a story about when they came on board and saw someone receive their first $300 check. Frank both bought into the Basic 5 and knew this company could go places.Gingie also talked about how there was no getting started guide, no product trainings, and no ECCT and no NUOT. Now, everything is available online.
Director of Market UK Phil Guido talked about when he received his first distributor website. Phil had no digital reach in the beginning. Phil’s comedic relief brought some laughs to the coliseum as he explained how difficult it was to build his business in the beginning.
Field Vice President Arlene Lowy described her beginning days of how she didn’t know about any of the products. That being said, Arlene does not know how or why people wouldn’t use the Shopping Annuity.
Day 2 is just getting started! Check back later today for a full recap of the afternoon session!
