Vice President of Sales Jim Winkler and Vice President Andrew Weissman kicked things off with a pre-show address, encouraging UnFranchise Owners to use the event hashtag, #MAIC2020.
Before the first presentation, Alejandro Sanz sent a good luck video message.
The Ecommerce Boom – Marc Ashley
The first presentation of the day belonged to President and COO Marc Ashley. Marc began by reviewing yesterday’s topics including the bombshell announcement regarding MAWC2021 in Las Vegas. Marc said, “We have so much momentum in this business. We felt that Vegas was the right place to ride this momentum.” Marc announced that the Market America team created a virtual booth. It’s fully immersive, interactive, and online.
Marc said, “We have the best products in the world backed by science.” Marc mentioned that the Market America Product Catalog is a great tool to view all of the company’s products. Any time you add a Market America product to an order, when you reach the checkout page, you will have the option to add 1 catalog to a particular order. Marc said, “You all have a chance to generate so much more BV because you’re going to expose so many customers to our products in the catalog.”
Coming this month, as long as you have the UnFranchise® Marketing App, you will have the ability to send one sample pack with each order. In 2021, the UnFranchise Business App will feature most of the tools from UnFranchise.com to grow your business.
Then, Marc discussed how leveraging ecomerce has never been more important due to the pandemic. Marc stated, “Ecomerce shopping is five years ahead of where it’s supposed to be today. There has never been a better opportunity to have a ecommerce business than today.” Market America has a positive reputation for ecommerce. The company received an A+ review from the BBB and ranked 42nd in the country for top online marketplace.
With click and order, UFOs earn BV and/or IBV on every purchase you make through your business. Marc reiterated the fact that with every single product he mentions, UFOs can earn BV/IBV. Market America products can be used in every room of your house. From the bathroom to the kitchen, there is a brand a product to fulfill your requirement. “If we don’t have it, we’re going to find it so you can continue to get paid to buy. You can continue to build a strong income in Market America,” said Marc.

The pandemic changed the way we buy groceries. Online groceries have shot up exponentially especially meat and seafood. SHOP.COM has their own “Market America personal butcher” in Rastelli’s. Rastelli’s is a family business that provides UFOs with the option to order high-quality restaurant meats and seafood delivered right to your door. All of the meat and seafood are organic with antibiotic free options. Marc announced that Kroger Ship, one of the largest grocery retailers in the world, is Partner Store.
From there, Marc transferred to the Shopping Annuity Brand. At first, the products could only earn IBV. As time when on, it could be BV or IBV. Shopping Annuity Brand and Super IBV products were once only allowed on UnFranchise.com, but coming soon, it will be on SHOP.COM. Next month, both Sears and Kmart will become OneCart stores. Also, one of the biggest additions to the Market America family is Zoom. Virtual calls through Zoom has changed the world.

Demarjay said, “Can’t is the word I eliminated from my vocabulary. I replaced it with strength.”
Power Profiles – Emily Pennito
Emily Pennito shared her Market America story. Upon moving to a new neighborhood, she met her neighbor, Barbara, who first introduced her to the UnFranchise Business. One of the products that captured Barbara’s attention was MochaTonix®. Emily said, “The right products fell to me at the right time. The products gave me energy and helped me lose weight.”
Before JR hit the stage, Eva Longoria sent in a passionate video message about her pride in Market America.
Become A Hopeless Success – JR Ridinger
It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for. The Founder, Chairman & CEO JR Ridinger hit the stage for his first of multiple presentations. JR said, “I hope that you’re ready to get down to business. What I give you today are the keys to becoming a hopeless success. When you may or may not know what to do, you’re given a platform to commit to a certain way of doing things. It has everything necessary to take you to a six figure income. This is a hopeless success.”
JR mentioned that the world changes by solving problems or creating solutions to these problems. Progress is the history of the world. JR said, “We rise, we grow, and we create a better world and we happen to be in the best position as a company to do this.” Disruption creates opportunity. JR discussed how many people did not think about their economic stability in the past. Now, it’s all they’re thinking about. People are now willing and ready to listen. They need a solution and you have the solution.
Due to the pandemic, entrepreneurs and business owners had the rug pulled from underneath them. People are going crazy at home so it’s the perfect time to try the Evaluation Approach. “Offering residual income is an offer too good to refuse,” JR said. The UnFranchise Business model thrives because it offers solutions, not problems. You don’t even need to leave your house. You can use the company’s partnership with Zoom to build your business.
JR said, “Those who did it stand out as an example of what residual income can do in this business. They are securing their income.” Now is the time to reach out to people who believed in the business and the product. “No one lasts forever, but no one wants it to end. Everyone dies but not everyone lives. So let’s live it up,” JR said. According to JR, here are the 3 keys to becoming a hopeless success: residual income, MPCP with Evaluation Approach, and program the brain. The difference between success in the business is some did it and others did not. However, you need a senior partner to help you out. Hook up with a senior partner who does have credibility and can validate that this business is real.
One of the facts of life revolves around a “nest egg.” Everyone wants to have money to fall back on in case things go wrong. It takes a lot of money to invest if you take the traditional path. According to JR, Market America has the nest egg aka the Golden Egg. Most people are on the treadmill of the 45-year plan, exchanging time for money. JR said, “What do you want, the 45-year plan or the 2-3 year plan? It’s your choice.”
Other models like insurance have some residual income, but in Market America, it equates to full residual income. JR shared the story of Rick Hannon, who tragically lost his life last month. However, thanks to residual income, his wife can continue to earn commission from the UnFranchise. JR said, “Everyone is wishing for residual income. They can’t get it, but you have the key.”
All we have is time. What are you doing with this week and month? It’s all about time and it’s later than you think. You’re in the right place with the right opportunity and the right people. This leads to the Evaluation Approach. Two per week will lead to 100 people and after 100 people, the stats say you will find at least 8 Go Nows. Then, JR literally broke a clock onstage. You can break it by starting the 90 Day fast track. JR said, “We can change the world with this plan. The world is screaming for it. The time has come!”
The story of one-to-one marketing was built on the fact that people hate to be sold, but love to buy. It’s like the movie example. If you tell enough people about a good movie, they’ll tell other people, and then those people will tell other people until finally, everyone sees it. JR said, “This solution works for everyone who does it. After 28 years, I’m going back. There’s more to be done.”
Management Responsibility / Diamonds in the Rough – Kevin Buckman
Executive Vice President of Asia-Pacific Kevin Buckman started his presentation off with a speech about finding “diamonds in the rough.” You can find your own wealth right now with the resources you already possess. These diamonds are the right people in this business aka the Go Nows. With management reports in your back office, you need to determine which UFOs are thriving and which ones are struggling. These can be your diamonds if they are taught the proper way to build the UnFranchise.
Diamonds in the rough are UFOs that are willing to commit to implementing/performing the 8 weekly activities found in the Weekly Accountability Report for 8-13 weeks. It’s a UFO that’s willing to create a goal statement and action plan. It’s a UFO that is willing to create a possibility list of 100 people. These diamonds need good sponsors and uplines in order for them to be “mined.”
Kevin congratulated and commended every entrepreneur that is still learning and growing as an entrepreneur despite the pandemic. Kevin said, “Success is inconvenient.” UFOs have the rare opportunity to earn and continue to earn despite these tough times.
Kevin said, “People and their time is our most valuable asset we have in building this business.”
Power Profile – Steve Jean Louis
In this power profile, Steve Jean Louis discussed his Market America journey. From a young age, he learned to always have other people’s interests at heart. One day in the arena, Steve wondered why he wasn’t where he wanted to be. Steve said, “I will not let this business beat me.” Steve set a goal to reach 3 new pin levels in one year. It did not happen, but he did not give up and five months later, he hit his goal.
