As the season changes it’s so important to give your immune system a boost. We LOVE a fresh ginger tea to give us an uplifting zing throughout the day as well as clear out any signs of sickness.
Don’t worry too much if ginger is organic or not; you will be peeling the skin off so most of the toxins will be eliminated through this process.
1) Peel a fresh piece of ginger the size of a closed-fist. Put on a pot of water to boil.
2) Thinly slice the ginger. Aim for a julienne but don’t worry too much about technique. Keep the focus on how great this tea is going to make your feel!
3) Place the ginger in a mug and pour boiling water over it. Allow it to steep for 5 minutes or longer.
The ginger tends to stay at the bottom of the mug so I don’t worry to much about straining- this way I can pour in some more hot water and make 2-3 more cups! Add honey and lemon and enjoy. Make the moment even cozier by taking a break for mindfulness.
