#FindYourFit with Dennis Franks!

Market America Executive Vice President, Dennis Franks is a  familiar face to many of us in the TLS community.  You may have met him during his non-stop travels around the globe educating and supporting the success of TLS Weight Loss + its Coaches or at a training in your area over the years! On top of his packed schedule, he’s recently added traveling the country for his The Last Laugh Book Tour.  But, in the midst of his on-the-fly schedule, he was able to sit and tell us what his day-by-day looks like. A Brief Biography:

Having helped develop the Mall Without Walls™ and the Preferred Customer program, Dennis’s focus is now on global sales. He also supports Market America’s health professional program, nutraMetrix®, and the ultimate weight management program, Transitions Lifestyle System®. Additionally, he is charged with evolving Market America University in the field to increase product diversity within distributor organizations.

Dennis was the offensive center on the University of Michigan’s “Team of the Decade” for most wins and later played in the NFL for six seasons, helping to build the Philadelphia Eagle’s 1981 Super Bowl team. After football, Dennis became one of the few to earn over $1 million in commissions a year owning a home-based business.


Dennis Franks’ Wellness Routine

Staying in shape is a priority for me. I am goal-driven and wired for pursuit. Poor health would stop me in my tracks and I don’t enjoy sitting on the sidelines! But, I also don’t want to be pre-occupied with a complicated eating plan. I have to keep it simple. The following guidelines keep me on track with my wellness goals, even during a very busy book tour.


  • Protein and Fiber with each meal make losing [and managing] weight no big deal!
  • Eliminate/limit the white stuff [bread, pasta, potatoes, rice, and sugar].

This is a typical day of eating for me. It varies, but here are the basics:

  • Breakfast: 2 eggs, a side of Canadian bacon, bacon or sausage, avocado and tomato.
  • Lunch: A colorful salad topped with chicken or fish.
  • Dinner: A side of meat and a plateful of vegetables.
  • Snacks: A TLS shake, fruit.
  • 64 oz. of water a day.

Muscle dictates metabolism – it turns your body into a fat-burning machine. To maintain lean muscle, I do something physical each day. This means either a challenging work out at the gym or some active play – hiking, golf, whatever. You can find the specifics of my workout routine in my new book, The Last Laugh Playbook.





I bathe my cells with nutrients daily. It fills the gaps in my diet and provides the raw materials needed for building and repair. Your body and brain need sleep to refresh and repair. Most of us need a solid 8 hours of sleep, so I try to get to bed at 11 pm and up at 7 am.


These principles are the centerpiece of my wellness plan.  Yes, I enjoy an occasional beer, snack or dessert. The key is they are occasional.
