The Annual GMTSS Summit took place this past weekend in Miami Florida, attended by every Local Coordinator, District Coordinator and Regional Director in the Global Meeting, Training and Seminar System (GMTSS) in North America. This 2-day, energy packed event featured high level training and planning on all subjects related to making the Global Meeting Training and Seminar System better in every way possible as we forge ahead into 2020 and beyond. The weekend summit was organized and conducted by the Directors of the GMTSS; Phil Guido, and David & Stacy Whited.
Saturday’s program consisted of 9 hours of training and planning by Phil, David and Stacy, as well as some of the most experienced GMTSS Coordinators in North America, including; Thanh Dombroe, Jim Winkler, Chele Boe, Bonnie Philo, Big Al Yentsch, Cullen Haskins, Colton Whited, Dritan Hodo, and Jimmy Wu. Topics included; Building event teams and creating an environment of participation, planning out 2020’s Local Seminars in a way that is congruent with and builds momentum into the two big Corporate Events (MAWC, MAIC), designing the perfect agenda, leadership, conflict resolution, personal development and even featured a trivia game testing everyone’s knowledge of GMTSS events and MA facts and figures, past and present, which provided plenty of smiles and laughs. During the weekend there were several sessions reviewing policies and procedures, as well as in depth discussions explaining the move in 2020 to expand our GMTSS to include official online UBP’s, and detailed clarification on what the do’s and don’t’s are related to Independent UnFranchise Owners and their online activity and social media posts.
Saturday closed with a presentation of three very special awards. The GMTSS Speaker of the Year Award was presented to Professional Coordinator, Trina Maduro from Tempe, Arizona based on her achieving the highest speaker rating on the evaluations turned in by the Local Coordinators from the Local Seminar areas in which she spoke in 2019. The Local Seminar Coordinator of the Year award was presented to Directors Joe and Wendy Moquin, Local Coordinators for Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. Joe and Wendy achieved high scores on their evaluations and demonstrated a significant percentage of growth in Local Seminar tickets sold in 2019 vs 2018. And the GMTSS Golden Goose Award for demonstrating leadership, strong growth within their Local Seminar area, and high praise from speakers on their evaluations, was presented to Directors, Trinity and Cullen Haskins.
Sunday’s program was highlighted by several special guest speakers; Elizabeth Weber-Walliser, Senior Executive Vice President, Loren Ridinger, and CEO and President, JR Ridinger. Elizabeth conducted an exercise related to making our UBP meetings the best they can be, in which literally every person attending the weekend event took part. Loren inspired, as only she can do. She made us think, she tugged at our emotions, she made us laugh, and she showed how much she cares. JR closed out the weekend with a powerful session which stressed the importance of all UnFranchise Owners continuing to consistently share the business, prospect, qualify and sponsor. Indeed it is that activity which creates the very need for a GMTSS.
The result of the GMTSS Summit was an undeniable expectation that 2020 will be a great year for the GMTSS and a great year for Market America. Everyone left full of anticipation, equipped with more knowledge, enhanced skills, renewed confidence, and high expectations.

This is amazing!! Would be amazing to integrate lead tracking for event registration & follow up mechanisms for the online UBP’s into the UFMS. The field needs better solutions for digital marketing to their candidates
