The original thought, idea, and vision of enabling entrepreneurs to get paid on almost everything and anything they need or want has become a reality. Over 26 years later, the products, systems, tools, and technology have caught up and are in place providing us with the ability to create the Shopping Annuity®.
Originally, the company started with only BV commissions with a Business Development Center (BDC) earning a potential of $2,100 USD per week. The company introduced Partner Stores to allow UnFranchise Owners and customers to access additional products/services beyond the company’s exclusive products. The introduction of IBV commissions increased a BDC’s earning potential to $3,600 USD per week.
The original design and concept was to have two separate banks and commissions — BV and IBV. However, when the company introduced the Partner Store program (IBV), the number of stores/partners was very limited and the IBV values were low.
However, as more UnFranchise Owners shifted their buying habits to their own sites (SHOP.COM), it created more collective buying power, so the company attracted more partners and had the ability to negotiate higher commissions, resulting in higher IBV values.
In order to have full participation, and to ensure that each UnFranchise Owner carried his or her own weight when the IBV plan was introduced, the company needed to create a mechanism to “prime the pump” until such time that we could get the “water flowing” (more Partner Stores and higher IBV values). Therefore, the IBV Monthly Accrual Option was implemented to get everyone to contribute to generate IBV if they wanted to earn IBV commissions. So, at that time we introduced selected Market America products with IBV.
The company introduced selected Market America exclusive products with IBV values to enable UnFranchise Owners to satisfy the IBV Monthly Accrual Option (10, 20 or 30 IBV) automatically and cost-effectively. By having Market America products with IBV, it created more participation and generated more IBV commissions earned more frequently.
The intention was not to always have Market America products with IBV. Over the years the company added thousands of Partner Stores and the IBV values have steadily increased. For the IBV commission plan to work and last, it must include and be driven by IBV purchases from Partner Stores and/or One Cart Stores (not Market America products with IBV).
The primary purpose for the Cashback program has always been to incentivize customers (non-UFOs) to shop on SHOP.COM. When UnFranchise Owners shop on their SHOP.COM site they are rewarded with IBV; however, the IBV they earn is reduced to allow them to earn additional Cashback. Beginning Aug. 16 Cashback will no longer be issued to UnFranchise Owners when they purchase from Partner Stores and One Cart stores. Instead, the company will reallocate the money that was being used to pay Cashback to UnFranchise Owners and provide higher IBV that will result in higher IBV commissions. UnFranchise Owners will earn, in some cases, more than double the IBV from their Partner Store purchases.
The elimination of Cashback for UnFranchise Owner purchases will elevate the IBV so we can transition to the original plan and objective.
In order to increase the probability for each UnFranchise Owner to maximize the amount of BV and IBV being created for personal use, the Shopping Annuity Assessment has been enhanced and simplified.
Completing the Shopping Annuity Assessment will now be a part of the criteria to exercise the IBV Monthly Accrual Option. The new, updated and improved Shopping Annuity Assessment is live. It is highly recommended and encouraged for each UnFranchise Owner to complete the updated assessment as soon as possible to support your efforts to maximize your Shopping Annuity.
Beginning week ending Aug. 17, 2018, completing the Shopping Annuity Assessment will be part of the criteria to exercise the IBV Monthly Accrual Option. Therefore, simply complete the new, updated and improved Shopping Annuity Assessment before Aug. 17 to continue to accrue IBV (not red flush). The company encourages you to complete the new Shopping Annuity Assessment as soon as possible.
Note: Due to the fact that the Shopping Annuity Assessment is not yet available in Malaysia, UnFranchise Owners in Malaysia are excluded from this criteria to exercise the IBV Monthly Accrual Option.
The company will be reducing the number of Market America products that are available with IBV. The products include some of the company’s core products. Please refer to the list of applicable products here.
This change will happen on Aug. 16, after the UnFranchise AutoShip orders for the week of Aug. 13 have pulled/been processed. Any discontinued Market America products with IBV on your UnFranchise AutoShip order at that time will be removed from your UnFranchise AutoShip.
Please adjust your UnFranchise AutoShip order before Aug. 16 to include the Market America products that will be available with IBV. You should review your UnFranchise AutoShip after Aug. 16 as some products may have been removed, which may affect your IBV Monthly Accrual Option.
Consider this: If your UnFranchise AutoShip pulls/is processed the week of Aug. 20, it is necessary to update your UnFranchise AutoShip order by Aug. 17.
There are some other changes that will affect the IBV on your UnFranchise AutoShip and on your manual UnFranchise orders.
1. You will be able to have a maximum of 50 IBV from Market America products on your UnFranchise AutoShip. What is needed for your IBV Monthly Accrual Option based on your IBV Level (10, 20 or 30 IBV) will be placed into your BDC-001, and the rest will be placed according to your Excess IBV Placement setting, assuming that your selection is valid at the time of placement.
2. You will be able to place a maximum of 30 IBV from Market America products with UnFranchise Ordering in any given Monthly Q-Date Period, and this IBV can ONLY be placed into your BDC-001.
3. If you do have in excess of 50 IBV on your UnFranchise AutoShip or 30 IBV on a manual order (Market America products), the excess will not be awarded.
At the International Convention you will learn about new increased IBV programs and how these modifications will enable UnFranchise Owners to earn more IBV commissions in the future.
