Success is to choose one thought over another
Building your business with WebCenters
By Yi-Ting Cheng
I was a graphic designer, and in order to earn supplemental income, I signed up for the UnFranchise® Business. I chose the maWebCenters™ division to be my major because it provides a higher retail profit. I wanted to earn more retail profits quickly, and besides selling websites, I also did the web design for my clients so I could increase the sales prices. However, I realized I couldn’t duplicate it in my team, as not every one of my partners knows web design and website features. It became a roadblock in developing my team.
Then, I started to change my mindset and thoughts. I dedicated my time to focusing on understanding what my clients needed, and I had the professional team from maWebCenters™ conduct sales appointments on my behalf — and I also leveraged the Design Center to proceed in my web design projects.
But before the design center project kicks off, our role is to assist the clients in completing a simplified concept of the work … then the professional team will take care the rest.
Number one: Collect images and content
Create a list and urge the client to provide the necessary components for their website: logo, product description, about us page, contact us page, shopping information and more.
Number two: Website style
A website is like a house. The interior can be customized based on the client’s preferences. The sample sites from the Design Center or competitors’ websites could be used as points of reference. From there, the client finds the style and colors they like and narrows it down to two or three main colors and features to apply on their own site.
Number three: Fill up the wizard with the clients
Filling in the Wizard step by step with the client is key. The more details you provide, the better and more effective concepts the designer will be able to create. It will help the entire project to achieve the client’s expectations.
This process in the Wizard provides a great way to duplicate the process with my team. Also, the result is a very satisfied client.
Just like we learn from WebCenter Certified Training: “If it’s not duplicatable, don’t do it!” I never knew my professional background could be an obstruction to my success. I am so grateful to have the professional WebCenter team. They provide the best service to my clients. I will continue to leverage the team and we will work together to serve the clients, which will give me more time to build up my own team.
