At the 2019 Market America International Convention, Senior Executive Vice President, Loren Ridinger talked to the audience about the 4 W’s- wants, why, what you have to do to get there, and when. Continue reading to find out how the 4 W’s impact your business and goals.
During her main presentation at MAIC 2019, Loren asked the audience to join her in a live demonstration of how to create a want pie chart. Sharing your wants with others makes you more vulnerably courageous. For your wants, you need to fill in the why, what, and when. This is a useful exercise to do yourself, share with your group and personally do with your key people and team members during meetings. During your next team meeting, have everyone complete the pie chart exercise that Loren did during her presentation. Have your team fill in their pie charts and commit to their wants.
Loren also shared a few of her and JR’s W’s which include grow the company and teach the Shopping Annuity, reach new people in the field, hit new records in sales and pin levels, have more control of their time, and the list went on. Loren said that while she and JR combined their personal and business wants, you can keep your together or separate them. By telling everyone their wants, it helps to keep them accountable and push them harder.
In order to achieve the “wants”, you must focus on the “whats.” Giving herself a timeline for the “when,” she understands that sometimes life happens and you may have to change the deadline. The important thing is that you don’t stop, just keep on going. Pick up and start again. Don’t leave off your “why,” the reason for your “wants.”
