Conquer Entertainment is a lifestyle marketing brand for musicians. Amanda discussed how more brands are starting to turn to lifestyle marketing brands.
Michele said “What Conquer offers to musicians is something that no other company can do.” Conquer turns fans into customers and gives you BV and IBV into your business. One of the biggest success stories is Rik Indio. Rik has 5 of the top 10 songs on the latin billboard charts and is sponsored by Dawn Florio, one of the top UFOs in the company. This is the power of Conquer Entertainment.

Prospecting and Recruiting – JR Ridinger
Founder, Chairman, and CEO JR Ridinger entered the coliseum as only he can, in a blaze of glory! JR reminded the crowd to vote for the Shopping Annuity BV products at www.shoppingannuity.com/survey. The Shopping Annuity is on its way towards Uberization. It will be so easy that it will happen at the push of a button!
“Prospecting and recruiting is the hardest one for UFOs to understand, but it’s the easiest one to do once you get it. It’s a process, not an event. It’s as natural as breathing.” Montages from previous presentations of JR’s famous presentations were on the big screen such as the wheelbarrow and the hamster wheel.
JR says that UFOs are in prospecting mode all the time. You don’t do the business for 15 minutes, and then stop. You can’t say the right thing to the wrong person and you can’t say the wrong thing to the right person.
Knowledge and attitude directly affect prospecting and recruiting. The greatest way to recruit is through retailing. If they love the product, then it will show in your business. If you don’t have a “why,” you will fail. If you can’t show the plan or follow up with prospects, you’re handicapped and at a disadvantage.
The Basic 5 is like the stool. You can’t prospect and recruit when you are unstable. Each part of the Basic 5 effects prospecting and recruiting. “I don’t recruit. They recruit me. If you get people talking about themselves, you win.” JR compared the Shopping Annuity to Uber again. The Shopping Annuity matches product to the person like Uber matches person to the driver.
Sponsoring is not a science. If you want to sponsor, sell product. If you want to sell product, use the product. If you use the products on a daily basis, you will be comfortable to sell them because they work. Tell a story when you recruit. Be personable because you want to relate your experience to your future recruits. Talk with them and within 30 seconds, they’ll either complain or they wish. Just chit chat with them first. Don’t go right into the business just yet.
Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there when recruiting a group. Set a goal. Run a contest or challenge. Tell your team to get two referrals each. In now time, your team will continue to get bigger and bigger. Just think about more ways to connect and network with others. Qualifying is the next way to prospecting.
JR explained the difference between horizontal marketing and vertical marketing as well as the 45 year plan vs. the 2-3 year plan. In order to become a UFO, you should see the plan 3 times. After 3 times, you still need to have a tryout so we can test market. However, if you show that you want to change your life and follow the plan, JR will help you out himself!
JR gives some rules for what every UFO must do and started to show the charts from the UBP. You need to show the plan to at least 2 people per week. If you do that for 52 weeks, that’s 104. Statistics show that you’ll have at least 8 go now’s in your business. Imagine having 8 go now’s in your business. Think of the possibilities!
In order to recruit on social media, you need to be interactive. Post pictures of you at MAIC or MAWC. It gets people wondering and asking questions. Talk to your followers and answer any questions other’s might have. You need to brand yourself in order to gain a presence on social media. Attitude and knowledge create confidence. Be confident!
Have fun in this business! Talk to anybody out there. Get to know them and goof around with them. Be confident and be yourself because that will help you explain the business better. “Don’t get lockjaw!” JR showed how you can spread your personal brand by the things you wear. JR loves to wear a Shopping Annuity t-shirt, Shopping Annuity medallion, quote t-shirts such as “livin the dream.” This starts conversations with people.
When recruiting, use these themes when explaining the business: product brokerage mall without walls, internet marketing and ecommerce, converting spending into earning, economic alchemy, digital aggregation, tracking system, tell the story of how MA was created, the establishment wants to keep us apart, young entrepreneurs.
Your team members are like your children. You have to be there for your kids like you need to be there for your team members. Sponsoring is like parenting. Instead of having your new team members call their prospects, call the prospects with your team member.
JR finished by saying how he has a 100% sponsorship level. The key is to make sure the timing is right. Ease into the business. Start out slow. Perhaps bring them to the GMTSS. “We are the economy and we are taking it back.”
JR invited Master Coordinator Len Allen back to the stage to talk about how to build relationships with prospective clients. Len says that he looks for people that are highly intelligent and looks for people who are want to share the wonders of the Shopping Annuity. Len tries to relate with his clients and talks to them about issues that everyone faces such as debt, overspending, and the cost of living.
“Have this conversation: Do you shop? Do you get paid? Do you want to earn money? They ask how and then you’ve got them.” Len explained how to compare prices from exclusive brands and partner stores to regular stores not affiliated with SHOP.COM. It’s all about converting the most amount of your spending into earning as you possibly can. Through the use of HBPs, Len continues to get more and more new teammates to the Convention.
National Supervising Coordinator Ryan Stack came on the stage to discuss his struggles in the beginning. After one year, he had 0 partners. This year alone, he already has 24. Ryan suggested talking to 5 people a day from your Facebook list and just talk to them. Get to know them and get reacquainted. “A commonality is how you take a perfect stranger and make a new friend.”
Executive Coordinator Kathy Bair came to the stage to talk about how she shares the Shopping Annuity especially with busy moms. She listens to their pain about shopping when they have to drag the kids out. Kathy sympathizes with them because she used to do it, but now, she only shops at home AND receives Cashback on her purchases.
Karin Bogart talked about how she found her go now’s through something as simple as a Facebook post. Karin believes we are in the digital age and you must use it in order to promote your business.
Professional Coordinator Carrie Smith talks about how her mentors, Don and Lisa Martin, asked her what her “why” was. “You can’t start a business unless your why makes you cry and you show passion towards your goals.”
International Field Chairman Elizabeth Weber says you have to become a friend making machine. It’s as simple asking people if they have ever heard of the Shopping Annuity. What’s the worst that could happen? Ask them if they want to convert their spending into earning and put money back into their pocket?
Loren and JR Ridnger came onto the stage to bring out one of the most talent people on the planet, Jamie Foxx. To say Jamie lit up the stage is the understatement of the century. Jamie broke out performance after performance, thanking the Ridingers for all they have done for him as friends. We will have more on this in the coming days including a plethora of pictures and videos so make sure to check back to this blog.
