Recognizing Your Success – Andrew Weissman And Jim Winkler
Vice President Andrew Weissman and Vice President Jim Winkler Vice recognized the following groups for their success in Market America: International Field President and International Field Chairman.
Tony Bowling Award – Marc Ashley
President and COO of Market America Worldwide Marc Ashley came to the stage to pay tribute to the late Tony Bowling, who passed away earlier this year. Marc said, “Today, we are here to celebrate Tony’s life, pay respect to all of the things he accomplished, and honor him with the first ever Tony Bowling Award.”
When Marc first met Tony 25 years ago, Marc knew Tony was humble, nice, and a serial entrepreneur. Tony and Pam became two of the most accomplished, respected, and successful entrepreneurs in Market America’s history. Loren joined Marc onstage to share that Tony is the “heart of Market America.”
The criteria for the award can be described in three words: loyalty, integrity, and character. Marc announced that the first ever winner of the Tony Bowling Award was Pam Bowling. Unfortunately, Pam could not be here to accept the award. The Ashley family and JR accepted the award on Pam’s behalf.
The Close with JR Ridinger
It was time for the world famous “Close” from our Founder, Chairman, and CEO JR Ridinger. JR started his close by thanking Dritan Hodo, who spoke earlier, for his passionate speech and for representing the future of Market America. Then, JR stated that he wants to talk about why we’re here and what you’re doing here.
JR said, “Residual income is what this is all about. It’s the most realistic way where you put time in once and it can pay you for the rest of your life.” Like Marc said, don’t work for anything but residual income. The UnFranchise income comparison is in the favor of the UFO. Residual income is only as good as the longevity.
JR stressed that Market America is not an MLM. It’s a binomial system that rewards UFOs with one of the greatest compensation plans on Earth. You have the ability to be your own boss. You can set your own hours and live your life however you so choose. JR did a physical example of how the 45 year plan can make people like a “conditioned dog.” If you’re in business for yourself, there’s more time to solve problems.
Residual income is paid on UFO BDC’s that accumulated sales volume on two organizations or lines of distribution that the MA MPCP tracking system tacks and accumulate paying weekly “commission checks.” Because what you did in each previous year not only grows, it compounds.
It’s important to never forget where you came from. Don’t stop after finding one person. Keep sponsoring people because it’s your responsibility to help them out. JR said, “Get the geese together and show them how to do it. Imprint them. Once they get old, start another one.”
From there, JR took the audience on a journey of the results from the early 90s. The main point is this: It works if you follow the plan. The major principles are still the same. Here are the five things a UFO must do weekly: use evaluation approach to secure 2 presentations, be a product of the product, get 2 prospects to evaluate the plan (learn to show the plan), sell the tickets to the next GMTSS event to prospect, and measure/monitor/analyze your prospects.
JR stated the major advantages of the MA opportunity and UnFranchise System. They are: 1) Based on providing high quality market driven consumables, exclusive products for UFOs to use, sell and distribute, 2) Implementing one-to-one marketing and trail size marketing 3) UFOs have the option to accrue volume month-to-month until they get paid AND exercising this option covers accruing volume month-to-month in every qualified personal BDC, 4) develop the business vertically in depth, and 5) open GMTSS. “Nobody else has what we have. For a fair price, you get this business in a box.” said JR.
Then, JR revealed the five steps to establishing an UnFranchise Business. They are: Apply, create, qualify, activate, and educate. JR said, “I would not be here today if I did not have a successful experience as a kid. I would know nothing had it not been for my ticket story.” JR set a record of selling 100 ticket in 90 days. Tickets mean education and belief in the business. This lesson translated to the importance of tickets for International Convention and World Conference.
Then, JR explained how humans were created with a billion dollar brain. We can choose, decide, and create. We determine what goes in and out of our mind. This is what JR means when he says we can “program our brain.” Inputting the right information and visualizing your dreams is key.
JR taught the crowd about momentum and inertia and related it to his flip off of Utopia IV. If you start the process, gravity and momentum will take care of the rest.
JR closed his presentation by sharing past magic moments in the company. From when Marc and Loren convinced JR to keep going in the beginning to acquiring SHOP.COM, Market America continues to inspire thousands of entrepreneurs. As JR always says, “You never know when that billionth of a volt will spark.”
