Welcome to Day 3 of MAIC2019! Can you believe International Convention is more than halfway over? It’s been an amazing event, but thankfully, there’s still more learning to be done! This morning’s session was highlighted by an inspirational speech from Loren Ridinger!
Growing Your Business With The Shopping Annuity – Chris Peddycord and Sarah Rose Stack
VP of Business Integration Chris Peddycord and Director of Business Integration Sarah Rose Stack kicked off the morning with a presentation about growing your business with the Shopping Annuity.
Chris and Sarah invited Raj Bhaskar, CEO of Hurdlr, to the stage. Hurdlr is An automatic business expense and mileage tracker app that keeps tabs of all of your income streams, expenses, and tax deductions in real-time, on the go! The top 3 benefits of Hurdlr: save time and money, always up-to-date with automated, real-time financials, and financial insights to improve your business and profitability.
Sarah said, “Money saved is money earned. Hurdlr is a way to save money and time, which will put money back into your pocket.” Sarah and Chris stressed that the goal of enhancing UnFranchise.com is to increase volume for UFOs. More volume equals more chances to put money back into your pocket. One way to increase volume is to purchase the Shopping Annuity Kits, which are in increments of 10, 20, and 30.
Sarah and Chris invited the following UFOs onstage for a panel discussion: Director Lisa Martin, Professional Coordinator Trina White, Executive Supervising Coordinator Chele Boe, Supervising Coordinator Kevin Duong, Supervising Coordinator Mikayla Whited, and Master Coordinator Souzan Davood.
Lisa shared how she loves free shipping on UnFranchise.com as well as the addition of more consumables. Trina and Souzan shared how they love purchasing eGift cards in order to earn IBV. Chele explained how she teaches her team the technology of UF.
For every search result on UnFranchise.com, media and sales materials will now show up in addition to the actual product. The dual search will especially help new customers and UFOs because the media materials provides them more knowledge about the product.
Furthermore, the UnFranchise homepage highlights campaigns, blogs, and top products that you might be interested in. Chris said, “We’re trying to put all of the important information in front of you on the homepage. It’s customizable so it’s tailored to your buying and spending highlights.”
A new tool on UF is the “sidekick.” The sidekick is on the right toolbar on UF. It will show you products in your cart, the lists you’ve created, and products on your AutoShip.
Recognizing Your Success – Andrew Weissman & Jim Winkler
Vice President Andrew Weissman and Vice President Jim Winkler Vice recognized the following groups for their success in Market America: Senior Executive Field Vice President and Field Vice President.
Senior Executive Vice President Loren Ridinger brought the crowd to her feet upon her arrival. Loren expressed her gratitude to the UFOs in attendance for their energy, passion, and enthusiasm. Loren said, “The fact that you’re here is everything. You don’t need anyone else but yourself.”
Loren reiterated that all the corporate team wants is for UFOs to have fun. Don’t take your job so seriously. Stop trading time for money. You have to get your priorities straight.
Loren said, “It’s time for you to learn. You’re here for a reason.” Loren stressed that the relationship with yourself is of the utmost importance. It’s the foundation for yourself. Belief is everything. Stop fighting with life and be apart of it.
Then, Loren discussed how UFOs need to check their circle. You need to surround yourself with people who support your goals and dreams. It is time to break your thinking. Find people that challenge you and force you to be better. “Don’t be one of those people who go on in life with the hand brake on your car. You need to act and you need to have a ‘why,'” said Loren.
Loren used examples of UFOs like Elizabeth Weber who followed the plan, heard a lot of “no’s,” but kept fighting until she found the right people to qualify. Just like flipping through a deck of cards, flip through people who are bad for you until you find the right people.
In the beginning of the company, Loren said it was a struggle to get by. Herself, Marc, JR, and the rest of the team were living day-by-day, paycheck to paycheck, trying to make ends meet. However, they stayed the course, persevered, and turned Market America into the success it is today.
“Do you have the passion to start with me today,” said Loren. Loren asked the audience to join her in a live demonstration of how to create a “want wheel.” Sharing your wants with others makes you more vulnerably courageous. For your wants, you need to fill in the why, what, and when. Get your team to do the same thing and commit to their wants.
Think different. Loren said, “Action, attitude, and atmosphere are important. What is the most important? It’s atmosphere. Stay in your atmosphere where you succeed. Leave your atmosphere and go up against the enemies and you’ll lose!”
The business can not be built on Facebook according to Loren. Don’t complicate this business. Create a name list of 100 people. Make your calls and find your people. Ask yourself these three questions: Is this for real, what’s in it for me, and can I do this. Also, use feel, felt, and found to sell your products. “When your neighbor needs water and soil, give it to them,” said Loren to close out her speech.
Power Profile – Dritan Hodo
National Supervising Coordinator Dritan Hodo thanked the entire coliseum for allowing him to speak today. Dritan said, “This business is built on momentum. What is required for long-term success in Market America? You. You are the difference maker.”
Dritan believes that leaders are momentum creators. It’s important to create momentum and inspire others. In a way, you can be your own worst enemy. There are four phases that leaders go through. Phase 1 – Creativity. Phase 2 – Analyze. Phase 3 – Management. Phase 4 – Blame.
Creativity is the phase leaders are in. It creates massive momentum because you’re actively creating UFOs and acquiring customers. However, you can reach your downfall in Phases 2-4. Analyzing, management, and blame can work against you if you get inside your own head and forget about your team. Go back to the beginning and keep building in Phase 1.
To explain the different types of people you’ll run into, Dritan used a deck of cards to show that won’t join the business. It’s ok. Keep flipping through the cards until you find their aces. “Once you find your ace, don’t settle. Double down, increase the rate, and find another ace. If you increase your rate of exposure, you will find an ace.”
