A few weeks ago, the President and COO of Market America Worldwide, Marc Ashley, hosted a crucial webinar regarding COVID-19 and how Market America Worldwide would respond during the global health crisis. Marc provided much-needed updates involving the business, products, and online GMTSS. Last night, Marc shared a second update about the new policies and products implemented during this time as well as the status of the UnFranchise®.
Marc began the webinar with a discussion about health and safety. Keeping Market America employees and UnFranchise Owners safe has been the number one objective during this pandemic. Marc said, “Every decision that we’ve made has been driven by health and safety.” Market America Worldwide has been closely following the guidelines of CDC, WHO, federal, state, and local governments in order to ensure the safety of the company’s employees. 99% of the staff are working from home and communicating through Zoom and Microsoft Teams. For the select few employees working in the distribution center, the precautions (temperature checks, social distancing, etc.) that have been implemented allow for a safer handling of all incoming and outgoing packages and shipments.
Although most of UFOs are staying safe in their homes, Marc stressed the importance of supporting local business. Many local restaurants may not be able to survive because of COVID-19. “Staying safe and helping your local small businesses has never been more important,” Marc said.
