Below is a Q&A with Heidi Gruss. Heidi explained how forming good habits leads to a successful Shopping Annuity and displayed an informative BV/IBV monthly consumption chart.

SA Team: Can you share a monthly example of what you convert to BV and IBV products?

SA Team: What were the first products you used from our brands? How did you grow that list to convert more of your household products to our brands through your UnFranchise?
Heidi Gruss: The first products I used from our brands was everything that came in my Fast Start kit and the SNAP products. I noticed a difference in the way I felt immediately after taking the daily essentials. If the Aloe and the Awake shots had not come in the Fast Start kit, I don’t know that I would have tried them on my own. Before trying them, I read the product information in the back office and was amazed at all of the health benefits related to the Aloe! The Aloe juice product information is what opened the door to appreciating the science behind all of our products.
SA Team: Share a Shopping Annuity Hack that drives more BV/IBV.
Heidi Gruss: I use the Skintelligence spray for my face, as a detangler for my hair, and as a defuser with the essential oils. Also, I use the Clearshield product and love it! I use it to shield against mosquitos and other insects during the summer. I have also used it to avoid getting blisters on my feet. My children use it when they are doing any type of craft or activity to prevent their hands from getting stained from dye, marker, or paint.
SA Team: How does the Shopping Annuity grow your retail efforts?
Heidi Gruss: I don’t think of myself as a salesperson, but rather a person who is meeting a need. If we listen closely, people are telling us things they need when and share problems that they are facing. Because I use so many of our products, it is easy for me to recommend a solution to the problem they are presenting. This has helped me increase retail sales. I also use the trial size marketing model to increase customer sales.
SA Team: What would be your number one tip for a new UFO who is trying to implement the Shopping Annuity in their household?
Heidi Gruss: In the beginning, building your Shopping Annuity is about forming new habits. Instead of doing what you always did, which was running to the store for last minute things, I encourage new UFOs to make a list of all the things / events they have coming up in the next 90 days. I want to know about their social calendar (birthdays, anniversaries, recitals, picnics, showers, weddings, holidays, entertaining, graduations, christenings, etc). I also want to know what they spend their money on within each season (clothing, travel, kids equipment/supplies for sports and activities, things related to weather – sunscreen, snow boots, leaf removal, etc). Finally, what are the daily/weekly things they buy all the time (groceries, movie tickets, household supplies, personal care stuff, etc).
The home shopping list is a great tool for all of your everyday items! We make a plan using BV items and then our partner stores to get the highest amount of BV/IBV possible. The exercise allows us to go through the site thoroughly, and it also allows us to show ways to get double or triple the amount of IBV with all of our gift cards! Making sure new UFO’s understand planning ahead to guarantee BV and IBV, helps to develop new habits.
