When someone uses the term, “Shopping Annuity® Home,” what does that mean? A Shopping Annuity Home is house supplied with BV and IBV products. The home is an area that converts spending into earning. All of the household items were either purchased through UnFranchise or SHOP.COM in order to receive BV and IBV.
The first step to creating a Shopping Annuity Home is to write a list of all the products you buy on a daily basis to equip your house. From there, take each product and see if any of those items can be swapped out for Market America Exclusive Brands. This process will work for a good amount of items. However, if you can’t swap out the product for an exclusive brand, then go to SHOP.COM and see if the item can be purchased from a partner store. The end goal is to purchase as many products from UnFranchise and SHOP.COM as possible in order to receive BV and IBV.
Instead of writing an unorganized list, it may be more efficient to break down the list of products by room. Go room by room and create your list of products. At MAWC2020, Marc Ashley showcased how this can be down by creating the perfect Shopping Annuity Home. For this example, we’re going to create a Shopping Annuity Bathroom.
What products are typically found in a bathroom? Toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, razors, shave cream, flushable wipes, hand sanitizer, flushable wipes, shampoo, and conditioner are only some of the products that typically can be found in a bathroom. Many of these products such as toothpaste, deodorant, shave tools, and wipes can be found on the Shopping Annuity Brand. UFOs have the choice to earn BV or IBV on these purchases. One suggestion is to buy an Essentials Kit, which includes a group of products on the SA line, that will help satisfy the 10/20/30 IBV accrual options.
When you decide it’s time to take a shower or bath, make sure to include products from Royal Spa and Fixx. These bath gels and hair products can make both your hair* and your wallet happy.
Another important aspect of the bathroom is the medicine cabinet. A medicine cabinet is typically stocked with products from big name brands like Advil, Aleve, and Nyquil. You are free to continue to purchase these products. However, the Super IBV line includes generic brands that serve as aspirin and pain relievers just like the big names. The best part about the super line is the IBV number, which is typically 50% or greater. If the product is not in the Super IBV distribution center, there are over the counter partners like Rite Aid and CVS where UFOs can still earn a fair amount of IBV for medicine cabinet products.
When determining orders for the next month, sit down and try this Shopping Annuity Home exercise. It’s possible if you put in the time. Why wouldn’t you convert spending into earning and accumulate BV and IBV on your purchases? You’re buying the products, anyway. You might as well get paid to shop!
