Show Some Love to Your Skin

In the midst of Valentine’s Day, we should make an effort in showing some love to our skin. February is also known as the self-check month and your skin cells deserve more than your daily skincare regimen. We all have reasons why we have avoided checking in with ourselves, especially through our busy schedules. It is time to check in with ourselves, our loved ones, and our customers. This is the perfect way to show others, and yourself, that you care. Here are some ways you show some L-O-V-E to your skin.

Loving yourself

The ultimate recipe for glowing skin is self-love. Self-criticism causes stress and inflammation, which is the main cause of aging. Indulge in a warm bath filled with oats, your favorite body oil, and a face mask. Practice gratitude and speak aloud at least 5 things you are grateful for.

Offline

Turn off social media and put your phone on silent. Take deep cleansing breaths, inhales for 3 seconds, hold your breath for 3 seconds, and exhale for 3 seconds. Do this until you feel your whole body relax, then go back to your normal breathing. Our minds need a break from the constant stimulation to destress and go back to our natural, calm state.

Very relaxing facial massage

Due to stress, mainly emotional stress, our face holds a lot of tension. This can lead to wrinkles, sagging, and pain. Facial massages also boost circulation and promote lymphatic drainage. Start by applying a facial oil, Lumiere de Vie’s Renewal Elixir is recommended. By using your hands and/or a crystal roller, focus on your mouth, jaw, and temples. Massage the oil into your skin with upward, outward circles using firm pressure. With the crystal roller, roll outward with firm pressure as well. On the jaw, make sure to roll on top, underneath, and behind the ears. On the temples, with your finger massage with firm pressure in circular motions.

Exfoliate

Exfoliate the old and start fresh! Like massages, this boosts circulation and promotes lymphatic drainage. Nobody wants clogged pores or a clogged lymphatic system. Use body scrub or loofah in the shower in circular motions. Start with your upper body, then move onto your lower body. Don’t forget to moisturize afterwards!

Share this with your customers and our reduced expedited shipping for Valentine’s Day!
