Today we’re sharing our favorite social media tips from around the web that are perfect for UnFranchise Owners! From easy-to-apply ideas for making the most out of LinkedIn Groups to helpful information about establishing yourself as a leader on social media, we’ve scoured the web for the best tips our UnFranchise Owners can benefit the most from. Tip #1: Want to be seen as a leader on social media? Make your contacts, connections, followers and friends feel appreciated.

If you want to be considered a leader on social media, you should make time to interact with your followers, friends and connections on social media. This means budgeting time every single day (yes, every single day) to engage with them by liking their posts, retweeting their tweets, and commenting on their updates. Tip #2: Don’t tweet for the sake of tweeting. 

When you tweet for the sake of tweeting, all you’re doing is contributing a lot of noise to your follower’s Twitter feeds. Try to plan out what you’re going to tweet before you hit “send.” And if you are tweeting on the fly, make sure to ask yourself, “Is this tweet beneficial to my audience and my personal social media brand, or am I tweeting for the sake of tweeting?” Once you answer that question, you’ll know whether or not it’s appropriate to send that thought out into the Twittersphere or not. Tip #3: Become friends with the camera app on your phone and show your friends, followers and connections who you are.

Whether you’re posting on a Facebook page or your personal Instagram account, one thing that always rings true is that your friends, followers, fans and connections want to see the person behind the posts. Yes, that means you! It shows them that they’re dealing with a person, and not a posting robot. Tip #4: When creating a Facebook page for your UnFranchise Business, make sure to fill out as much of the information on the page as humanly possible,

There’s nothing more cringe-worthy than a Facebook page with a barren “About” section, so make sure you spend time filling out all the information before making your page live. This includes putting up a profile photo for the page, a tasteful cover photo, and even sharing a post or two. Tip #5: If you want to generate more leads on LinkedIn, join relevant Groups and answer targeted questions.

One of the best – seriously, the best – ways to increase your leads and make more connections is by joining relevant LinkedIn Groups and answering targeted questions. This doesn’t mean going “rogue” and posting gibberish about how you loooveee working from home, how others who want to work from home too should contact you, blah blah blah (“don’t be weird,” remember?). That kind of behavior will get you banned from groups, not to mention make you look like a complete doofus.

Instead, think, “What am I good at? What do I know a lot about?” Maybe your answer is something like, “I know a lot about health and fitness,” great! Join LinkedIn Groups related to fitness and business. Scroll through the group to find relevant discussion topics, and take time responding to the ones that speak to you. Your goal is to make your response/answer the best. Why? Because this will get you noticed. This will make other people want to respond to your post and connect with you.
