Last week Instagram rolled out some pretty cool new features for their Stories that have users excited. Today we are going to walk through four new updates so you can be a Instagram Story expert.
#1 Text Pages
Instagram finally has added a type section for stories. Instead of having to screenshot a blank page to add text to yourself you can simply use the text option for when you want to speak your mind. You can choose from a variety of colors and text fonts, which we will get to in a moment.
#2 New Font Options
I think everyone was equally excited about the new font options added to Stories. Previously you had to download 3rd party apps to get unique text for your stories. They have added four new fonts to choose from, “Modern,” “Strong,” “Typewriter,” or “Neon” (modern and neon are featured in the above image). You can change the color of the text, however only on Typewriter and Strong can you also change the background color for the text.
#3 You Can Add GIF’s to your stories
Now under the same section where you would usually add emojis you can also add GIF’s. You can search from hundreds to find the perfect one to express your Instagram Story. See above the selection of heart GIF’s that you can add to a story. Users quickly began to have fun adding in GIF’s to their posts. We are sure more options will continue to be added.
#4 Screenshot Alerts (Very Likely)
This has not been officially announced yet but there has been rumors that Instagram will now notify you of those that screenshot your stories. WABetainfo goes more in depth of their suspicion of this update coming our way soon.
