The Inspiration Behind The In The Mix Palette With Maria Checa

I usually get my inspirations from fashion. I always say that makeup is the final accessory to your look. So from all the fashion week shows around the world, it’s obvious to see that the 80’s is back. You see it in the shape of the garnets but with a touch of futuristic twist to it. You see patent leather, silver, and metallics, iridescent fabrics give it that futuristic twist. Animal prints are everywhere and so are plaids and what makes it fun is that everything is all mixed in! Layers of different size patterns and colors in one look even mixing it with florals or animal prints. You see very unexpected color and pattern pairing in one look.

In The Mix Palette

As you can see every rule that we know about fashion is all mixed up. So that’s how I got the concept of this seasons colors and campaign. I wanted to choose colors that are versatile to be used in many different ways and that compliment any look that you are rocking. The palette has only three colors.  They were hand selected to be your basic darker shades of neutrals with the different undertones to pair with any color. I feel that these are core colors that everyone should have in their makeup drawer no matter what season you are in.

Liquid Metal Eye Shadows

Then we paired the palette with three Liquid Metal Eye Shadows. They go perfectly with each one of the neutrals to take it your look to that next dimension. The Liquid Metal Eye Shadows can also be worn alone. Right now one trend for makeup is a monochromatic look where you just use one color. For this you need strong yet wearable color and our Liquid Metal Eye Shadows are perfect for that.

Double Take Lipstick Duo

Finally, we wanted to have fun with the lips so we design one lipstick that has two key colors to get several looks. You can wear them alone, or mix both colors to get a third shade or do an ombré effect to make your pout pop. It’s ok to try new makeup looks, there is no mistake when it comes to makeup. So as you can see this season we have the perfect mix of neutrals and colors that pop to have fun and mix it up.
