Ways to Focus on Hydration

Just in time to kick summer off, we’re talking about the importance of hydration. Hydration starts from the inside and is truly an essential piece of the wellness puzzle. 60% of the human adult body is water and a whopping 73% of your brain and heart is water as well, sounds pretty essential, doesn’t it? We’re rounding up a few tips to for you to keep in mind and keep hydrated all summer long.

Water-Rich Foods: we always love ways to naturally get the resources we need. Water-rich foods are one of those things that are pretty accessible and we may be buying anyways. Some of our favorite choices with a high water content include watermelon (92%), strawberries (91%), skim milk (91%), lettuce (96%), zucchini (94%), and tomatoes (94%).

Citrus Infused Water: citrus is one of our favorite and easiest ways to support hydration. If you find yourself struggling to enjoy the taste of water and therefore drinking less, adding lemon or limes is a helpful way to add a little flare to a glass of water. In addition, citrus fruits are a great source of Vitamin C and boast strong antioxidant properties.

Limit Caffeine and Alcohol Consumption: in excess amounts, both caffeine and alcohol have a diuretic (water loss) effect on the body. While we love our Trim Cafe and enjoying an adult beverage, it’s important to keep track of these fluids and really ensure adequate water in take each and every day.

Pure Collagen for the Skin: essential for both men and women, our Pure Collagen formula offers 5g of hydrolyzed collagen per vial to support skin elasticity, thickness, and hydration. Collagen also provides hydration support throughout the body including bone and joint health.
