After a slow Summer at the box office, September movies are about to get people back to the theaters!
The movie that has been circled on the calendars of horror fans for the past year is It. It tells the story of the “Losers Club,” a group of bullied kids in 1989 Maine who discover a supernatural monster that is terrorizing the town. The monster is known as Pennywise, the killer clown, and he will continue to wreak havoc on the kids until they band together to try and stop him. Based on the Stephen King novel, It is a remake of the 1990 miniseries, which if you have seen before, can cause some serious nightmares! That being said, It will dominate as it looks to scare viewers back to the box office with a projected $65 million opening weekend, which would be a record for the month of September.
Other movies to look out for in September are Jennifer Lawrence’s return to the horror genre, the sequel to the highly successful Kingsman series, and a new Lego movie that will be fun for all ages!
