Greensboro, N.C. (Aug. 18, 2024) – Market America Worldwide | SHOP.COM unveiled an honorary statue of its late founder, JR Ridinger, on Wednesday, Aug. 21. The statue, sculpted by world-renowned artist Omri Amrany and installed outside the entrance of the company’s Greensboro headquarters, is a profound addition to the JR Ridinger Museum, which was installed last year as a constant reminder of his legacy.
A visionary entrepreneur and leader, Ridinger, who passed away suddenly in 2022, founded Market America in 1992. Under his leadership, Market America Worldwide I SHOP.COM has become a globally recognized e-commerce and product brokerage giant with its revolutionary products and more than 100,000 UnFranchise Owners across nine countries.
The statue is a heartfelt tribute to the legacy of JR Ridinger and celebrates his profound impact on the lives of thousands. The Ridinger statue is the only statue in North Carolina by Amrany, whose most notable works include bronze statues of Michael Jordan at the United Center in Chicago and Kobe Bryant at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The Israel-born artist has exhibitions and collections across the United States and Europe.
