The Key to Home Business Presentations

Many of you are active doing Home Business Presentations lately, and your teams are growing. Home Business Presentations are a huge key to success, especially if you duplicate and get your growing group to follow suit. When it comes to HBP’s we have a saying “SUCCESS = BOOKING FOLLOW-UP’s.”

To illustrate, here are two examples:

1) You hold a home business presentation and have a great crowd show up. Everything seems to go perfectly. The crowd is excited, the speakers are all great, the atmosphere is perfect. In fact there is so much interest that questions fly and before you know it, it’s getting late and you finally break up the meeting and head for home, really excited. Then your Sponsor asks “How many appointments did you book to follow-up?” and you respond “I didn’t actually book any follow-up meetings, but the meeting was really great. You should have seen how excited everyone was!”

2) Another Distributor conducts a HBP and only 4 people show up. The Distributor who was going to do all the speaking gets stuck in traffic, so the inexperienced Distributor has to try to explain the business. He gets nervous and messes a lot of it up. He mispronounces JR’s name. He spills a glass of OPC-3® on one of the guests and accidentally sits on the Motives® display and gets lipstick all over his butt. His Sponsor asks “Did you book any follow-ups?” and he responds “Of course I did,  I had to because no one understood anything I said!”

The question is – Who had the best meeting?

The answer is, the second Distributor (the one who sat in the makeup) because he booked follow-up appointments with all four of his guests and his Sponsor, while the first meeting resulted in zero follow-ups booked.

When you hold a Home Business Presentation, or when you bring a guest to an UnFranchise® Business Presentation in a hotel… the presentation is NOT the key determining factor on whether or not the meeting is a success. The UBP (or HBP) Presentation is just the show. THE REAL KEY TO SUCCESS depends on whether or not a follow-up meeting was booked with one or more of the guests, to meet one-on-one (or two-on-one) to answer their questions, supply more detail, build more belief and lead them to the next step.

Always remember SUCCESS = BOOKING A FOLLOW-UP!
