Downtown Miami Guide

World Conference isn’t just one of the great pillars of our company, it’s also taking place in one of our country’s greatest cities—and when you’re not dancing in the aisles with your team or taking notes at breakout sessions, we suggest you take full advantage! Whether you’re staying just for World Conference or enjoying some sunshine on either end of your trip, here are our picks for the best downtown Miami has to offer:

Bayside Marketplace
A popular tourist destination along Miami’s downtown waterfront, it’s bordered by two parks, and is the rare walkable cluster of businesses convenient to public transportation in the city. The Metro Mover can bring you cheaply and easily to this two-story, open-air mall with different themed shopping areas, dining and entertainment.

Flagler Street
Running through the oldest part of downtown Miami (the area where the American Airlines Arena is located) this is one of the main drags in town for shopping of all sorts. From flagship stores like Macy’s, Marshalls, and La Epoca (a Cuban department store) to smaller boutiques, like the jewelry stores in the Seybold building, there are days worth of shopping to be done here, and plenty of restaurants and other services in the area.

Biscayne Boulevard
As a dining destination, Downtown has developed some amazing five-star spots, like the EDGE steakhouse in the Four Seasons Miami, with one of the city’s best wine lists. But for a quick lunch outside the arena, we’ve pulled together a list of the most convenient dining destinations—a mix of food trucks, local Cuban specialties, and standbys like pizza and sandwiches—here.

N.E. 11th Street
Still have some energy to burn after World Conference is over for the day? The main strip on N.E. 11th Street just west of N.E. Second Avenu was first pioneered as a nightlife destination by superclub Space and special zoning has allowed a nightlife district to spring up, with many other establishments on the street enjoying liquor licenses that allow 24-hour operation. Slightly further north, around N.E. 14th Street, is another mini club district, including hipster favorites the Vagabond and Eve and gay bar Johnny’s.
