Leadership School Recap

I’m sure many of MA’s bloggers will be sharing their thoughts about Leadership School and all the announcements that were made throughout the week. But I wanted to take a moment to post a summary of the event, especially for those who were unable to make it.

With so many speakers and new products being unveiled, it’s impossible to recap everything that happened at Leadership School. However, I don’t think there’s any doubt that three of the items people were most excited about was the launch of Fabulosity by Kimora Lee Simmons (see post below for footage of Loren and Kimora on stage) the Google partnership announcement and grammy nominated artist Paulina Rubio taking to the stage to close out the show.

Kimora spoke about her new product line that is available exclusively on marketamerica.com. Simmons was also accompanied by cameras from her reality show “Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane” for airing on an upcoming episode. As it turns out, Kimora has a fear of public speaking, so no better way to conquer that fear than to go on stage in front of over 23,000 Market America Distributors and guests. She did great and the crowd seemed really excited about having her there.

Personally, I thought the crowd was most excited about the announced initiative that marketamerica.com would now be powered by Google’s leading search engine capabilities. For those that don’t know, customers will be able to search for exclusive Market America products and those from over 2,000 partner stores and have all results shown in an easy to compare format, including the price of each product on one page. Shoppers will also have the ability to use advanced search features, including sorting products by price, brand and store.

Market America closed Leadership School with Paulina Rubio performing some of her biggest hits. The concert kicked off Market America’s launch into the Latin market. Of course, marketamerica.com already features a Spanish web portal and Market America will expand into Mexico and other Spanish speaking countries within the year. The concert not only signified Market America’s launch into the Latin market, but also punctuates Rubio’s involvement with Market America’s entertainment portal where customers can purchase CD’s and products associated with their favorite artists, buy concert tickets for upcoming shows, download music, and will be a platform for interaction between fans and their favorite artists. In addition to Rubio, it was also announced that Jennifer Lopez, Carrie Underwood, Paul McCartney and Brooks & Dunn were already on board.

As I said earlier, it’s impossible to blog about the whole show in one post. so for those of you who were there, share your experiences and thoughts of what went down at Leadership School.
