Like many women diagnosed with breast cancer, Lisa Grogan was left with a sense of uncertainty when she first learned of her diagnosis. She first thought of the outwardly visible changes her body would undergo, but she also contemplated what would happen to her family if she was not here. Lisa had always been reluctant to have a mammogram, but at age 38 she heeded the advice of her OBGYN, and underwent the examination. Were it not for this mammogram, Lisa wouldn’t have discovered that she had breast cancer.
