Shop Consultant Spotlight: Dr. Stan Pierce

This week, our featured Shop Consultant is Dr. Stan Pierce, the first nutraMetrix® doctor ever to reach the Director PIN level! Last Thursday we asked our Facebook audience what questions they would like to ask him about building a successful business with nutraMetrix®. Interested in seeing if Dr. Stan answered your question? Read on!

You are the first nutraMetrix® doctor ever to hit the Director PIN level! What do you credit with helping you achieve this milestone?
I have an intense work ethic, and I’m also competitive and love inspiring others toward greatness.  I am fortunate to have found good teammates that see the same vision I have with nutraMetrix®, and our team has tried to remain coachable and motivated. Sometimes we have to force ourselves to stay motivated by remembering the purpose for which we live and serve…we have an entire world of people whose health needs to be improved.

How were you introduced to nutraMetrix®?
A couple of patients from our clinic wanted to meet with us to discuss a product called Gene SNP™. They were persistent, so I finally agreed to give them five minutes only because they mentioned Gene SNP™ had to do with DNA testing. I was interested in the concept, but was very skeptical and wondered where I could find the flaw. When I asked questions, they had good answers. Eventually, I saw that it was a good tool for my other patients, so I started asking what other products the company had and they told me about Isotonix®. I have a bachelor’s degree in nutrition, so I was intrigued by the Isotonix® absorption method. When my patients started reporting back with such great results, I was convinced to change from the supplement company I had been using.

Can you tell us a little bit about your practice, and how nutraMetrix® fits into the type of medicine you specialize in and the patients you treat?
We are a chiropractic facility specializing in upper cervical care. We are the founders and lead international instructors of the Advanced Orthogonal technique. Our focus is to completely correct a patient’s 3-dimensional spinal alignment, get  it to stabilize for ongoing results with reduced frequency of care, and then to coach them to take control of the rest of their health by making appropriate, daily healthcare decisions. nutraMetrix® easily fits our model of wellness  care because it helps us empower patients to control their own health.  We do this by customizing their dietary and lifestyle choices through Gene SNP™, enhancing the nutrient availability through isotonic absorption, and encouraging them how to maintain healthy body composition by controlling their metabolism with TLS Weight Loss® products.

Do you have any advice for other health professionals who are in the beginning stages of building their business?
Keep it very simple and be coachable. Get comfortable with the nutraMetrix® products and services that most closely match the identity of you and your practice. Follow the simple implementation steps that nutraMetrix has for you. Personally use some of the products and get your own personal success story, then get your patients using them and enjoy the patients’ testimonials.  This all fuels reorders and a successful nutraMetrix retail business model.  AFTER you have a successful retail model, THEN be willing to approach your colleagues about it so that their patients can benefit too!

How has nutraMetrix® helped you grow your practice?
Our practice has averaged a higher number of new patients per year then before we brought in nutraMetrix. I attribute this to enhanced patient results fueling their excitement to refer others. We have also had a fantastic increase in our retail profits from supportive care. We went from only selling around $7,500/year with another supplement line, to selling $115,000 our first year with nutraMetrix! Two years ago, we sold $191,000 in nutraMetrix, and last year we sold $224,000. With these retail profits, we have hired other staff to continue to help grow our practice.

What was your “ah ha!” moment? When did you finally find the recipe for success?
My “ah ha!” moment was the very first time I saw the MPCP.  I was intrigued by the Gene SNP™ and by Isotonix®, but when I saw the mathematical integrity of the compensation plan, I understood it immediately and realized the genius behind it. I KNEW I would make this succeed by working that plan and I saw a way through re-entries and BV allocation into sponsored distributors that I could really help a LOT of other people make money and change their lives.

Do you have a favorite inspirational quote?
“You never know how far reaching something you think, say or do today will affect the lives of millions tomorrow.”  – B.J. Palmer, D.C.

What is one thing that the majority of Health Professionals and nutraMetrix® consultants don’t do every day, but should?
Remind themselves that they are hired servants.

Serving others is the greatest calling in life. Patients HIRE us to serve them with our knowledge, our compassion, and our treatments. We should feel honored and humbled that someone would entrust their health and their life into our keeping, and we should never stop searching for new ways to better serve them.

Have you used social media to help you build your practice and introduce people to nutraMetrix®, and if so, how?
We have just started to create videos for MeetON, and I am incredibly excited to have such an extremely effective outlet of disseminating information for our clinic. Now when we hold a class or seminar, which we do regularly, we can share it with patients who live in other cities, states and countries. We are also using this as a training tool for students and other doctors.
