Well, it’s been a while since I was able to post, but, with all this new stuff coming out for the WebCenter program, it’s been keeping things around here crazy busy. I’ve got so many exciting things to share, this may actually be my longest post ever.
So, for starters, we just launched the most comprehensive update to the WebCenter program in almost 5 years – version 4.0 of the WebCenter – was a complete re-envisioning of not just the tool for clients, but the entire platform.
From the underlying technology to the user interface, we’ve changed it all, and I’ve gotta say, it’s incredible looking, but, the changes aren’t just cosmetic, the functioning of the technology is completely different, extremely intuitive, and positioned to definitely knock the socks off of any of your prospective clients who take a walkthrough with our Product Specialists to guide them.
Here’s a couple of highlights on the technology:
- Change Layout & Design without Skipping a Beat. Web site owners have the power to change the look of the site and keep all the text and images on the page, or they can even modify the entire design of their site instantly with the option of choosing from hundreds of designs to customize their site for any occasion…they can make all these changes without ever losing content!
- Convenient Drag-and-Drop Technology. Edit text and add or resize images using version WebCenter 4.0’s cutting-edge drag-and-drop technology! It’s completely user-friendly, so site owners can customize fonts or drag and drop blocks of text with ease. Even adding links to pages or files just takes a few quick clicks.
- Innovative e-Commerce. Site visitors can view detailed images using version 4.0’s Pan and Zoom image features. To keep visitors engaged and interested, they’re able to write and view product reviews and create their own wishlists! Site owners benefit from 4.0’s fresh e-Commerce technology with the ability to view which customers are currently browsing their online store—24/7!
Remember though, new technology is just the beginning. It forms the foundation for some of the other enhancements, Chinese Language support for instance. One of the new things we are able to do with 4.0 is extend the technology into various languages.
The first language we decided to go with – Traditional Chinese. So, not only are all layouts and content in 4.0 available in English and Chinese, so that the client’s website be built in English or Chinese on the front-end, but the entire back end of the system can be in Chinese as well, including all the menus, contextual help, the online manual, all the tools that come with the system. But it doesn’t stop there, we also have Mandarin and Cantonese speaking customer care for your clients, as well as Mandarin and Cantonese speaking Product Specialists and Design Center support. It’s all there.
And I don’t mean to sound like a late night infomercial, but wait there’s more! We’ve also come out with a direct integration piece to allow any WebCenter website to become a Partner Store – provided that they fit the model of being a Partner Store. So, any website clients who are selling goods online through their website and servicing either the USA or Canada or both,
can apply to become a partner store right from your WebCenter under the Partner Stores tab! How cool is that. Now you can offer your clients the ability to partner with Market America and have Market America drive traffic to their site or they can sign up as an MAMerchant and become fully integrated into the universal shopping system and have their products indexed in the Google search on the portal and basically get a second storefront. So not only would they be getting sales from their existing WebCenter website, but, they’d be getting sales through the Portal and having both website and portal feed each other. The opportunities for businesses are huge. But, here’s the best thing, by doing this, you’ve already exposed the business owner to the power of Market America.
There are so many exciting advancements on the horizon, new enhancements each month to the new 4.0 system to have it grow and continue to get even more amazing, expanding to include Spanish language support, adding in simplified Chinese building options, adding a Global WebCenter concept which would help you build and develop business in all the various countries where Market America has expanded and will expand into. Not to mention developing Market America’s partnership with Google to do some really exciting things for the WebCenter program and so much more.
