We’re hiring! Market America is looking to hire an experienced Sourcing Specialist with beauty products experience.
The Sourcing Specialist works collaboratively and proactively to identify sourcing and contract opportunities Domestically and Globally. This position requires individual sourcing, procurement and negotiation skills in the beauty care (cosmetics, skin, hair and personal care) industry. This person also assists in contract implementation, along with supplier and vendor reviews for assigned contracts.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Business or equivalent related experience.
- Experience dealing with overseas beauty vendors and suppliers.
- Experience and exposure to supply chain concepts and methodologies and manufacturing.
- Possess analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend opportunities.
- Computer skills a must.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts.
- Thorough knowledge of purchasing and negotiating methods, principles and concepts.
- Ability to negotiate effectively to obtain best prices and terms on products, materials, and services.
- Previous experience establishing beauty care (cosmetic, hair, skin & personal care) suppliers.
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese a plus, but not required
- Full-time position.
- Flexible schedule, nights and weekends required periodically to communicate with manufacturers.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
